The rhino is inspired by a photo of a rhino with Salvador Dali. He thrusts his head up from the bottom of the picture plane, originally I had the idea to paint the main horn as an erect penis but I think I'm getting a little conservative in my old age. lol. This work was created for a show titled "Purple". And was painted in Acrylic to speed up drying time. I made the gold by using Golden Gac 200 and some metallic powder pigment.
